Bordertalk introduces you to the historical, political, and economic relations between Russia and China. It examines the historically turbulent relationship between Russia and China, which today is influenced by the two countries' interaction as trade partners (in energy, arms, and consumer goods) and competitors for resources. Explore the history, economy, politics, and languages of both Russia and China from the excellent vantage point of Siberia, where Russia literally meets China. Includes both Russian and Chinese language components.
Highlights:
In addition to training in Russian and Mandarin Chinese grammar, phonetics, conversation, and vocabulary, you will learn about the cultural issues in Sino-Russian Relations and the role they play in government and business. Take a look at past and current relations and cultural issues. Explore recent trends in the strengthening of these relations and cultural issues with recent Chinese immigration and business contracts. Internships and independent study also available.
