Learn about modern Latin American urban cultures in Buenos Aires, one of the most cosmopolitan and diverse centers in South America. The program provides a comprehensive interdisciplinary focus on Latin America and Argentinean contemporary literature, music, visual arts, and politics. Students are based at the Universidad de San Andres, the most prestigious private institution of higher education in Buenos Aires. The program creates the the opportunity for students to understand the specifics of Spanish - American societies within a rigorous academic setting. Goals will be met through classroom instruction, independent research projects, cultural and intensive reading and research. Accommodations are provided in local homestays. Eligibility Requirements: A minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average and at least five semesters of college-level Spanish or equivalent. Good academic standing; at least 18 years of age; completion of a full year of college; and currently enrolled at Emory. Summer: Applications will be accepted starting January 2. The deadline for receipt of applications is March 2. Please note that some programs close before the end of January.

Cost includes an academic fee (USD 7,120) and a program fee (USD 1,200) for room, partial board, and insurance.
