The Geneva International Law Institute takes advantage of its city's unique resources by offering courses and lectures in areas of international and comparative law. Geneva is a lovely city located on Lake Geneva, and a city that is a pleasure to explore on foot. It is conveniently located for easy travel by train or plane throughout Europe. Courses offered include: International Human Rights, Comparative Health Law: Medical Tourism, and a Health Law course to be announced. All are 3 credit courses.

Widener University School of Law's summer International Law Institute in Geneva, entering its seventeenth year in 2008, offers students a unique experience. Since the founding of the League of Nations in Geneva in 1920, the city has been known throughout the world as an international center for peace and diplomacy. Geneva is home to numerous international organizations, such as the International Red Cross, the United Nations European Headquarters, the World Health Organization (WHO), and the World Trade Organization (WTO). Geneva is a lovely city located on Lake Geneva, and a city that is a pleasure to explore on foot. It is conveniently located for easy travel by train or plane throughout Europe. Students may hike in the Jura Mountains and the Alps and rafting and mountain biking trips are also available.
