IFSA-Butler at Queen Mary, University of London
England
Term: Academic Year, Fall, Spring
Dates: September - June
Description:
Queen Mary, University of London is one of the four largest colleges in the University of London. Located at Mile End on the east edge of London, it has 8,000 students pursuing degrees in seven different faculties. Its size and diversity give Queen Mary all the charateristics and facilities of a university in its own right. As a student at Queen Mary, you can enjoy the best of both worlds; the friendly community you would expect from a campus university, and on its doorstep, all the excitement and opportunities offered by a great capital city. In addition to the college's own facilities and those of the neighborhood, you will benefit from everything London has to offer. Queen Mary is located in the famous East End of London. This affords students a unique opportunity to discover the vast multi-culturalism that exists within British society. This is because the east end of London has traditionally been a major port of entry for overseas arrivals to the United Kingdom. Therefore, it is home to a very diverse crowd of people whose families have come from all over the world. Especially renowned is an Asian Indian market with many fine Indian restaurants just a short distance from the university.
