Description: Limerick is Ireland's third largest city and the capital of the Midwest region. With a reputation for trendy clothing shops and a great nightlife, Limerick also boasts the Belltable Arts Center, which produces impressive shows and exhibitions. Students spend their weekends strolling the downtown streets, stopping in shops and restaurants. Within easy reach are the counties of Galway, Clare, Cork, Tipperary and Kerry. The University of Limerick offers 3-week summer courses in art history, business, literature, and social sciences.

AIFS fees include the basics and the extras: tuition, housing in a University townhouse, meal allowance, cultural activities, visits to western Ireland and Dublin, and services of an on-site Resident Director.

AIFS Summer Study Abroad in Limerick, Ireland

Highlights: Students are housed at Dromroe Village, one of the University's new student villages, just a 10-minute walk from the classrooms and library. The University is centered on Ireland's National Technological Park, a center for commerce, art and music, leisure and park land. The University offers students cultural opportunities through field trips and events, including day excursions to Limerick City, Dublin, and Lahinch. Students receive membership to the new University Sports Arena and Olympic-size swimming pool. The summer session ends with a 3-day London visit.
