Shanghai has become the symbol of China's economic success; there is arguably no more important place for students of international business and urban planning to spend time in than this city of almost 20 million people. AIFS students can intern in business and take courses in English in cultural studies, international business, urban economics, and Chinese macro-economy, as well as Mandarin language courses at Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) and at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE). Fees include the basics and the extras (tuition, housing in unversity residences, a meal allowance, round trip flight if selected, cultural activities and excursions, services of a Resident Director/Internship Coordinator, and more)
Highlights:
Students are housed in University residence halls and receive a meal allowance for the university cafeteria. Cultural activities include escorted, guided visits to Yu Yuan Garden, the Oriential Pearl T.V. Tower, the Shanghai Museum,and the Shanghai Municipal History Museum, as well as day excursions to Suzhou and to Hangzhou. Students have a 3-day orientation/familiarization period in Beijing with double occupancy hotels and meals included. Students also receive the services of a pre-departure Student Advisory Center and an on-site Resident Director/Internship Coordinator in Shanghai.
