Description:
Earn credit studying in New Zealand in Summer 2010 with Towson University. This program will introduce students to the theory of English language literacy and provide information on how to work with English language learners. The program is based in Auckland on New Zealand's North Island. It is the largest city in New Zealand with over 1.3 million residents representing 31% of the country's population. Already home to a sizeable Asian community, Auckland is also home to the largest Polynesian population of any city in the world.
Highlights:
The program includes attendance at the International Reading Association World Congress Conference being held in Auckland, New Zealand from July 12 - 15. The opportunity to attend this conference will be an outstanding professional development for all program participants. Other features include a city tour of Auckland and a visit to a local language center.
