Description: Few countries could be more exciting to study in than Austria, a peaceful democracy with cultural and economic ties in both eastern and western Europe. With the Alps at your doorstep for outdoor fun and the works of Mozart, Haydn and Strauss in the background, spend a summer studying abroad with AIFS in Austria and explore the history, culture and natural beauty of this central European country.

Students spend four weeks studying at the University of Salzburg. No previous German language study is required, and all students take a German language course. Students live in residence halls and receive a meal allowance.

AIFS Summer in Salzburg, Austria

Highlights: On the way to Salzburg, students have a 2-day London visit. In Salzburg AIFS has its own headquarters in a comfortable, charming setting in the heart of the city. The Resident Director arranges a number of cultural activities, inlcuding trips to Hellbrunn Palace and the Salt Mines, visits to Munich and Vienna, a walking tour of Salzburg, a musical event, pastry tasting in a local cafe, and visits to museums and art galleries. Students live in residence halls and receive a meal allowance.
