  • Cairns

Term: Summer
Dates: June-July

Description: Beginning in Sydney, students will tour this vibrant and well-populated center for business, culture and the arts, visiting Sydney Opera House and taking a cruise on the magnificent Harbour. The next destination, Cairns in tropical North Queensland, is home to two World Heritage sites, the Great Barrier Reef and the tropical rainforest. Here students will gain unparalleled access to a variety of terrestrial and marine wildlife tourism sites, meeting the professionals who organize and deliver these attractions and learning about the environmental, cultural and financial concerns involved. Then it is on to the mountains and rainforest of the Atherton Tablelands where students will experience up close some of Australia's flora and fauna from a nature lodge in the middle of the jungle. The final destination is Undara in the sparsely populated Outback.
