Description:
The courses are designed for students with an interest in health care, clinical practice, and medical biotechnology. They will give you a broad understanding of the connections between public health care, biomedical research, and drug development. Session 2 offers a clinical aspect through classes and patient cases at a Danish university hospital. Prerequisites: General DIS prerequisites plus one year of biology, molecular biology, or biochemistry. Core Courses: "Health Care in Northern Europe" (Session 1) and "Biological and Clinical Approaches to Human Disease" (Session 2)
Highlights:
The program includes a one-week study tour in Sweden and to London (comparative health care systems in Europe; European medicine and drug development) during the first session and a one-week study tour to Berlin-Poznan (hospitals and biotech) during the second session.
