Description: Join the next generation of filmmakers and actors at one of the most innovative and dynamic film schools and acting schools in the world. New York Film Academy offers intensive, hands-on Filmmaking, Screenwriting, Digital Video, Computer Animation, and Acting For Film Programs. Every course and workshop curriculum at our film school stems from our philosophy of "learning by doing."

Some of Hollywood's greatest filmmakers and stars have chosen to send their sons and daughters to the film schools and acting schools of the New York Film Academy including Steven Spielberg, Susan Sarandon, and Kevin Kline to name a few. Yet, some of the best projects to come out of the New York Film Academy are from students with no connections to the industry. An extraordinarily eclectic group of students attend our film schools from all over the world. Students develop an invaluable network of classmates that often provide opportunities for future work in the film industry.

No film school can match the Academy's bi-coastal campuses in the heart of New York City and on the back lot of Universal Studios in Hollywood, as well as our many international locations. The Academy maintains the largest inventory of cameras, lights, and editing stations of any film school in the world resulting in unparalled access to film equipment for our film school `students.

New York Film Academy's Mission Statement: The New York Film Academy was founded in 1992 at Robert DeNiro's Tribeca Film Center and has since expanded into a global educational force in filmmaking and acting for film. The Academy was founded on a belief that a top quality education in filmmaking should be accessible to anyone with the drive and passion to make films.
