Description: The M.B.A. International Experience in London offers an unparalleled opportunity for academic as well as personal growth. Participating in an educational program in a city so rich in history and culture breeds the kind of excitement for learning that is difficult to capture in the traditional classroom setting.

Heightening the overall allure of London is the particular appeal of being present during a time when such significant developments are taking place:
(1) the re-affirmation of the strong ties between the U.S. and U.K. in light of the events of September 11;
(2) the growth of the European Union (EU) and its effect on the global marketplace; and
(3) the introduction of the Euro in 12 EU countries and the pressure on the U.K. to approve the Euro as its official currency.

These historic developments provide an ideal backdrop for the study of numerous business disciplines. It is hard to imagine a more propitious time than the present to undertake this study.

The program is comprised of a 10-day intensive study of the issues involved in operating a business in todays global economy. Participants undertake a study of the challenges of international business for American enterprise by focusing on the markets, institutions and operations of multinational business entities. Students gain an understanding of the fundamentals of the global business environment by taking field trips to business, legal, and governmental entities such as Lloyds of London, the Royal Courts of Justice, the Bank of England, and the American Embassy. Students also benefit from guest lectures presented by leaders in the insurance, real estate, finance, and legal communities.

Students are on the move during the M.B.A. International Experience. A guiding principle for the programis: London is our classroom. There is so much to see and do in this exciting city. Samuel Johnsons words, uttered in the 18th century, still ring true today: When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life.
