Engineering in England
England
Term: Summer
Description:
Engineering students are among the most likely to work abroad in their future careers, but they are among the least likely to actually study abroad. This program changes that by offering courses that meet engineering technical electives in the College of Engineering. Courses that are often found in engineering curricula throughout the United States were intentionally selected to help students from other universities meet their requirements as well. Students majoring in a variety of engineering subjects will benefit from studying engineering statistics and bioprocess engineering in London. The engineering statistics course deals with the design and analysis of experiments for product and process development and improvement, as well as statistical decision making and risk analysis. Students in the bioprocess engineering course will explore a number of topics including fermentation and bioreactor and bioprocess design. Depending on student interest, a course may be offered in a third area. Where possible, faculty members incorporate examples from local industry to connect the academic material to the host country.
