This three-week program based in Shanghai looks at the worlds fastest growing economy and the many factors behind its sensational growth. Students will gain an insight into everything from the economic reforms to trading practices and local business regulation and law. This course also looks at the cultural aspects of doing business in China through an examination of business etiquette and marketing trends and popular culture. Students will study at Fudan University under Fudan faculty and also participate in a series of industry visits. These visits seek to put the classroom materials into a cultural context. A three-day weekend field trip in the middle of the program will take students to a regional area to experience another aspect of modern Chinese industrialization. Fudan students will be involved in a number of cultural activities so students on the program will have some opportunity to integrate with local students.
