Road2Argentina offers two semester programs in Buenos Aires: at the Universidad de Belgrano and at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. Credit is available for all semester courses. In the semester program at Universidad de Belgrano, you can combine any number of courses, choosing between courses in English, courses in Spanish designed for international students, or courses from the regular university catalog (with Argentines). You will also have a Spanish language course as a part of your schedule. The semester program begins in March and July. In the semester program at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, students take courses through the School of Social Sciences and School of Economics. Both colleges are known for their excellent faculty and demanding course work. It is recommended that students who wish to study at UBA have an intermediate to advanced level of Spanish as all coursework is in Spanish. Included in this semester program is a personal tutor to help you with your course work. Volunteering Placements Currently Available in Buenos Aires: * Teaching English to children and/or adults vocational training * Working at a bakery that provides baked goods for resale, sold by local unemployed families * Play time with children * Community activities with children such as fútbol matches, birthday parties, hospital visits and toy drives * Working at a "comedor" (soup kitchen) * Working at a day care for infants and toddlers of underprivileged families * Home construction
