India is a land of spirituality rooted in its glorious cultural heritage. It is one of the oldest civilizations of the world which dates back to 6,000 years BC. Though its citizens follow different faiths, only two major religions i.e., Hinduism and Jainism that originated in India with the advent of its civilization have been taken for study. Both Hinduism and Jainism have created an indelible impact on Indian society, but are not correctly understood in the West.
