This program provides American students a unique opportunity to explore the most ancient continuous culture of India and earn credits towards their degree. Program activities are organized at the SANN International College in the beautiful pink-city of Jaipur, India. Students will have plenty of opportunities to explore Jaipur and surrounding cities as part of study-related excursions. The program has been made with every effort to offer quality academic and experiential learning. Academic Coursework A total of 12 to 15 credits could be earned. Coursework is offered each Fall and Spring semester within the premises of SANN Research Institute, Jaipur. The credits are provided by the different universities in the United States of America. 1. Travel Literature & Writing - 3 Credits 2. History and Culture of India - 3 Credits 3. Basic Hindi Language - 3 Credits 4. The Study of Non-violence and Non-violence Conflict Resolution - 3 Credits
Highlights:
Field Trips around Jaipur Three half-a-day study related excursions will be organized in each course. The students will be taken to sites of cultural, religious, historical and political importance in and around the pink city of Jaipur during contact classes at Jaipur. A One-week Village Stay Students spend a week in a village experiencing typical day-to-day life by staying with a host family. For this, students will go to a place which is about 40 kilometers from Jaipur. During the village stay the students will be placed in host families. However, there is also a possibility that they may be accommodated in a private rented accommodation if the right kinds of host families are not found. A Two-week End of the Program Excursion Students will go to Rajsamand for their two-week excursions. They will stay at the Peace Palace but will pay visits to historical places in and around that area. These areas include Udaipur city, Nathdwara Vaishnav Shrine, Ranakpur temple, Haldighati (the place of epic battle fought between Maharana Pratap and the Mughal Emperor Akbar 500 years ago) and many more such important places. Since all these places are situated in the neighborhood of 100 kilometers, students will leave in the morning and return to the base in the evening. Students will also get opportunity to see the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. As the students will fly from New Delhi, they will be taken for a tour of New Delhi at the end of the program. If the students are willing one hour morning session for yoga and meditation can be organized as a means for good health. They will have one day rest after two days of traveling. During the rest they can write memoirs or just listen to music or go around children's complex. SANN International College will see that the two weeks they spend will be memorable as well as pleasurable for the students.

Cost Include Description:
Roundtrip airfare from Los Angeles to New Delhi, en route hotel in Bangkok (if required), visa charges, accommodation, meals, excursions, institute fees, in country local transportation and ground transportation. Students would still have to bear the costs for University fees ($475.00), passports, visa photos, tips for porters, any optional excursions not part of the program, airport taxes ($60.00) and spending money. Every effort has been made to maintain the lowest possible cost for this program while maintaining a high quality academic program.
