Deakin University, one of Australia's leading universities, is a diverse, six-campus institution providing a variety of settings for students to complete university level courses in a wide variety of disciplines. As a USAC student you may choose from an almost unlimited number of courses in the arts, business and law, education, health and behavioral science, or science and technology. Deakin is located in the state of Victoria, known as the Garden State, and has some of the country's most spectacular mountain and coastal areas. Melbourne, the state capitol, with its wonderful mix of Victorian architecture and a swirl of cultures, hosts numerous cultural and sports events throughout the year. While attending Deakin, you may participate in campus or community organized activities such as hiking, horse riding, sailing, skiing, or rafting; or play on sporting teams such as tennis, cricket, baseball, or soccer; or participate in the performing arts.
Highlights:
At the University, activities include playing on the University sporting teams or participating in the performing arts. Local Associations offer sporting activities such as surfing, sailing, Australian Rules Football, snow skiing, golf or hiking in the bush. Victoria is known as the Garden State and has some of the country's most spectacular mountain and coastal areas. You will also be able to participate in University and community organized activities, the rich social life of Geelong, Melbourne or Warrnambool, and to explore other parts of Australia.
