Students who choose a semester program in Spain will live with a host family and attend a local high school.

Learn:

With life in Spain, you are learning something new each day. For semester programs, students will attend a local high school where your school work will vary by subject from day to day. The classes are challenging and students are often expected to study outside the classroom. All students are required to take certain core courses, which generally include: Spanish language, Spanish literature, foreign language, philosophy, and physical education. Additionally, students may choose one optional area of study to broaden their curriculum including: arts, science or technology.

Fall Semester and Spring Semester programs require two years of high school Spanish language study or the demonstrated equivalent, as all classes will be conducted in Spanish. Students tell us that the exposure to Spanish in the classroom and in their daily life helped them to master and become fluent in their foreign language skills.

Program Requirements:

* 2 years of Spanish language study required.
* 15-18 years old.
* Motivated students with a 2.5 GPA or higher on a 4 point scale.
* Mature, flexible, open-minded, and able to adapt to living with a host family.
* Eager for the academic challenge of studying in a foreign school.
* US Citizen/Resident- living in the US.
