A Taste of Circus offers students a truly unique opportunity develop their physical skills through experiential learning in the Sidney Myer Circus Studios. This affordable, high quality program is available as a 4-week stand alone program for those looking for a short term experience abroad or as an add-on to any semester or year long program at any Australian/New Zealand university. This course offers students an unparalleled chance train at the Sidney Myer Circus Studio. Students will also have the opportunity to study performance, dance, and cultural studies held on-site at the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) in Melbourne, Australia. You'll also be able to visit a number of Melbourne's principal cultural and performing arts venues.

A Taste of Circus offers students the chance to: * Explore contemporary circus and physical theatre and its relationship to Australian culture. * Harness existing physical and performance skills in a circus environment * Build awareness of circus as a growing artform and tool for engagement with young people * Experience a uniquely Australian style of contemporary circus performance * Experience the artistic and cultural landscape of the city of Melbourne This program allows students to go beyond the ordinary world of art and culture and into an extrodanary world of physical circus performance. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to grow and learn in an amazing setting - definitely a program not to be missed! Students of all levels are welcome. Those interested in dance, gymnastics, acting, performance and/or circus arts will feel welcome.
