Economics, Tourism and Political Studies: Bangkok, Thailand
Thailand
Term: Academic Year, Fall, Spring, Summer
Dates: Fall: September - December, Spring: January - April, Summer: May - August
Description:
Rangsit University is located on a modern campus about 22 miles north of Bangkok in the beautiful, affluent residential community of Muang Ake. The program at Rangsit offers courses taught in English in the politics, economics, philosophy, religion and language of Thailand as well as of those of other Southeast Asian countries. The program integrates these disciplines in order to respond to the changing needs of economic, social and political issues. Since Southeast Asia is continuing to become more important in world affairs, this program is devoted to the study of the economy, politics and culture of the region, as well as broad international issues, and is not exclusively focused on Thailand. This academic window on Southeast Asia is complemented by the opportunity to experience directly the society and graceful culture of Thailand. Intensive Thai language courses are also offered, and field trips organized throughout the year by the International Relations office introduce you to the historical and cultural sites of Thailand.
Highlights:
Rangsit University is located on an American style campus 35 kilometers (22 miles) north of the center of Bangkok in the residential community of Muang Ake which boasts modern housing, two golf courses, tennis courts and a swimming pool in addition to a lake and numerous small parks.
