Founded in 1836, Adelaide is the center of the economic, cultural, political and social life of the state. It is an attractive well-planned city of wide streets and boulevards, squares, parklands and a mixture of historic and modern buildings. Adelaide is a friendly and safe city with almost one million people living within the metropolitan area. The size of the city is perfect - small enough to be friendly and welcoming, yet large enough to provide plenty of attractions and entertainment.It's climate is Mediterranean, with warm, dry summers and cool wet winters. There are ample recreation activities including cinemas and theatres, music, shopping, swimming, sailing and windsurfing at nearby beaches, and hiking and exploring the towns, villages and wineries in the Mont Lofty Ranges adjacent to the city.

Previous excursions have been very popular and have included visits to: * Barossa Valley or McLaren Vale - famous wine regions in South Australia * Victor Harbour - a trip to a beautiful seaside location featuring the Australian wildlife of Granite Island via Urmbirra Wildlife Park * Hills Trip - a visit to the famous German village of Hahndorf via the Windy Point Lookout Also, at the University of Adelaide, enjoy various activities such as: - Baseball - Basketball - Cricket - Fencing - Football - Golf - Gymnastics - Hockey - Lacrosse - Rowing - Sailing - Soccer - Swimming - Tennis - Volleyball - Water Skiing - Windsurfing

Cost Include Description:
AustraLearn is the largest program provider to Australia and New Zealand and offers very competitive and affordable prices. Program fees include full-time tuition, fees, health coverage, housing, meals (where available), all pre-trip services, 24-hour support while abroad, our unique orientation in Cairns, Queensland, held prior to semester start, an optional 3-day conservation volunteer weekend, and alumni services upon return. Most students live in pre-arranged housing in university residence halls or nearby apartments/flats.
