Description:
The DIS Crossing Borders program addresses the dynamics of international migration and immigrant integration as well as the consequences of controlling migration, and introduces specific theories pertaining to these dynamics and stemming from various academic disciplines (sociology, human geography, sociocultural anthropology, history, development studies, and political science). The program is made up of two courses: - East Meets West: Migration and Emerging Identities (May 23 - June 12); study tour to Turkey. - Human Trafficking in Europe (June 13 - July 3); study tour to Amsterdam. The courses are offered in two consecutive sessions. Students may choose to take one course (3 weeks) for 3 credits or two courses (6 weeks) for 6 credits.
Highlights:
The program features two week-long study tours tied to each course (see above).
