Description: The KIIS Mexico Pre-Professional Program lasts five weeks and is designed for students in the following majors: Nursing and Health Care, Social Work and Criminal Justice, Police Studies, Corrections, and Juvenile Justice. The program offers Spanish Language and Culture courses for students from a variety of backgrounds. Students register for a two-course sequence. By helping participants acquire Spanish language skills and cultural understanding, the Pre-Professional Program prepares them to provide services to the burgeoning Hispanic population.

Mexico Pre-Professional Program

Highlights: The program is based in the beautiful colonial city of Morelia, the capital of the state of Michoacan, located in one of Mexico's richest craft regions. Classes are taught at the Centro KIIS, a new classroom facility, which serves as the instructional arena and administrative center. Students attend classes five days a week and participate in weekly excursions to places of cultural interest. There is one open weekend for travel.

Cost Include Description:
* Round-trip airfare to Mexico (Option 2 only).
* All transportation expenses for excursions.
* Double room with shared bathroom facilities and three meals per day during the entire five-week period, including excursions.
* Comprehensive medical insurance through CMI Insurance
* Six credit hours

Kentucky Institute for International Studies's Mission Statement: The Kentucky Institute for International Studies is a consortium of colleges and universities dedicated to providing quality international education.
