Argentina: Spanish Language, Argentinean Culture and English

  Argentina
    Rosario

Term: Summer
Dates: May 25-June 27

Description: Experience multiculturalism at its best with the KIIS summer program in Argentina. Waves of immigration from Spain, Italy, England, France, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East have washed over this country, which is known for its hospitality. The program is based in Rosario, a compact city that combines a big city's attractions with the charm and security of a small town. Students learn and live the culture: courses provide an in-depth introduction to the history and nuances of the region, while home stays offer a chance to experience everyday life from a native perspective. Pop culture is not forgotten; students will have the opportunity to take lessons in tango, one of the most poignant and expressive dances ever known.

Argentina: Spanish Language, Argentinean Culture and English

Highlights: Students improve both their speaking and writing skills and their knowledge of Argentinean culture by interacting with specialists in Southern Cone and Latin American studies. This KIIS program provides an interdisciplinary perspective of the region without limiting participation to those students who have already attained advanced proficiency in Spanish.
