Description: College of Engineering in Stuttgart is specially created to give Engineering students the opportunity to study abroad. This intensive 6-week program provides an affordable study abroad option in the heart of Europe. All engineering students are welcome to apply!

Courses for Summer 2009:

Globalization, Sustainability, and Innovation (3 credits)
German Language Course (Higher levels of German also available)
General Education Requirement related to studies in Germany (3 credits)

Alternative Course Options:
Instead of the engineering course may also select from one of these subject courses (courses may vary slightly in 2009).
- History and Reality of 20th Century Architecture
- European Art and Architecture from Middle Ages to Present
- Cross Cultural Communication
- Transportation and Urban Planning
- Deutschland nach der Wende (in German)

College of Engineering in Stuttgart

Highlights:
So Much For So Little! 10 credits, 6 weeks, housing, breakfasts, excursions for only $3,500!

Location:
Stuttgart is located in the beautiful state of Baden-Wuerttemberg near the Black Forest. Close to the French and Swiss borders, Stuttgart offers many opportunities to experience other cultures within central Europe. Stuttgart is the capital of the state and has approximately a half million inhabitants. It is a technological hub within Europe as is reflected on the University of Stuttgart campus and throughout the city. Even Mercedes Benz and Porsche are major industries in Stuttgart.

Excursions:
There will be short organized trips on Fridays (within the vicinity of Stuttgart) and longer trips on Saturdays (to cities such as Freiburg, Heidelberg etc.). Participation in these excursions are for a fee of only 10 Euro. Students also have opportunities to organize their own weekend trips.
