Learn about the unique mix of Maori and European history and culture by taking a cultural class or visiting a local museum. Befriend a kiwi (New Zealand natives) and get a taste of local culture. Take a walking tour of the world's largest kauri forest, see the world's smallest penguins at the Marlborough sounds, or hop a plane and visit nearby Australia or Fiji.
