Study in 2008 with the Coalition for Work with Psychotrauma and Peace
Description:
The Program in Post-Conflict Studies for 2007 includes two types of courses, the Summer Program in Post-Conflict Studies and the Introduction to Post-Conflict Studies. The Introductory Course lasts for three months and more intensive than the Summer Program, which lasts for two and a half months, including two weeks of break. The general aim of all of the courses is for the student to obtain a general idea of the practical aspects of post-conflict areas and to investigate one facet in detail. They include talks from and discussions with a wide variety of local workers including religious leaders, politicians, economists, physicians, workers from inter-governmental and non-governmental organizations and others. During the Introductory Course, the participants will carry out a specialization. During all courses, participants will carry out a research project and give a seminar. It is possible for groups of students to arrange separate courses for varying periods of time. Those wishing to do so should contact Charles David Tauber, M.D. or Sandra Maric, M.A. Soc. at our office.
Highlights:
Costs include housing, Internet use, celebrations, lunches during the intensive period of the course and a SIM card for the local telephone system but do not include transportation to and from Vukovar and personal and other costs. Facilities are also available for support of students working on masters and doctoral theses. For more information, please contact us.
