Description: National University of Ireland, Maynooth is a rapidly expanding, vibrant university with a long-standing international reputation for learning and academic excellence in the Sciences and Humanities.National University of Ireland, Maynooth (NUI Maynooth) traces it's origins to the foundation of St Patrick's College, Maynooth in 1795 and is Ireland's second oldest university. NUI Maynooth is one of four constituent universities of the federal National University of Ireland. It has recently completed a $100 million building program, giving it the most up-to-date academic facilities, student accommodation and some of the finest research facilities in Ireland. NUI Maynooth currently has over 6,000 students studying within the five faculties; Arts, Celtic Studies, Engineering, Philosophy and Science. interstudy students are fully integrated with the undergraduate student body and will attend the same courses, lectures, seminars and tutorials as Irish students.

Situated just 15 miles west of Dublin, Maynooth is Ireland's only university town. Maynooth has a rich history and has many historical sites and attractions; it combines a historical legacy of medieval origins with a present day location on the fringes of Dublin. The town although small contains all the modern amenities needed and has excellent transport links with regular bus and rail links to Dublin. Within easy reach of Dublin is the ferry port of Dun Laoghaire, linking Dublin with Liverpool and Holyhead in Great Britain, and to the north is the main international airport.

Scholarship applications may be downloaded from the interstudy website, and must be submitted no later than May 1st for Fall Semester and November 1st for Spring Semester.
