The College of Global Studies at Arcadia University can help you achieve an incomparable overseas study experience. You can spend six weeks of the summer working side-by-side with Australian professionals while earning academic credit. Placements are available in a broad range of areas including arts, business, communications, public policy, and the social sciences. Credits * summer session: 6 credits. Admission Requirements GPA Requirements: 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale. You must be in good academic standing and not on disciplinary probation. Before your application will be considered, you need to submit a complete application including a transcript, letter of recommendation, and an advisor's form, and a one-page, written statement detailing your internship interests and any skills and experience you've obtained that may be useful in an internship setting and an up-to-date resume.

Picture yourself working in Sydney, Australia, one of the world's most exciting cities. You can earn academic credit, enhance your professional knowledge, and improve practical skills through a quality placement in one of Sydney's leading public institutions or commercial enterprises. Your courses will be with other program participants, in a learning community structure, providing students the opportunity to share and benefit from others' perspectives. Outside of work, your accommodation will be in the center of Sydney providing plenty of opportunities to explore this amazing city. At the end of your program, you will have a deeper understanding of Australian culture; a clearer view of where your education, talents and interests can lead you; and a greater understanding of your place in the world. Placements are available in a broad range of areas including business; social sciences; humanities; and the visual, fine and graphic arts. We will find an internship to match your academic and professional goals and objectives. During the application process, our internship coordinators will work closely with you in defining your academic and professional ambitions, and will arrange a placement that best reflects these goals. You'll work full time four days per week during your internship and will also attend class one day per week. You'll be assessed on an academic project that you research and write and is based on your work experience. At the start of your internship, you will attend an orientation session that will help to ensure your smooth transition to the workplace. Near the end of your placement, you will have a debriefing session to help you effectively review and analyze your professional experience.
