Abroadco in Nice, France
France
Term: Summer
Description:
Abroadco's study abroad program in Nice allows students of all language levels to study French language and electives at the University of Nice during the summer. You will live and go to school in the heart of the French Riviera. Academics All students take a French language course in the morning, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The course, taught at each level, is broken into three categories: oral and written comprehension, grammar and vocabulary, along with oral and written production. Students in the lower levels will focus on the comprehension of simple statements, mastering phrases on both the oral and written levels. Students in the advanced levels will focus more closely on oral comprehension and expression. The French language course meets for a total of 46 contact hours, which general translates to 3 semester credits. Services Abroadco's excellent student service begins the moment you contact us. We help you with every aspect of planning your experience, including course selection, travel planning, working with your home institution, and providing you with an orientation on living and studying abroad. When you arrive in Nice, our resident director will greet you at the airport and provide onsite orientation during the first few days of your stay. Throughout your program, you'll enjoy Abroadco's many activities and excursions. Activities include visiting museums in Nice, exploring the old city, relaxing on the famous beaches, and sampling southern French cooking at one of the many cafes. Excursions visit such destinations as Antibes and Biot, Gorges du Verdon, Corsica, and Monaco. Once your program has ended, we will continue to work with you as you transfer your credits to your home institution and readjust to life at home.
