Want to get away? Study abroad with TU Professors Carolyn Albright and Ryan King-White in England, Wales, and Scotland in Summer 2010. Participants will gain a thorough understanding of the cultural aspects of sport and exercise in global perspective through first hand experience. The program includes a week in London, England, four days in Cardiff, Wales, and six days in Glasgow, Scotland. The course features guest lectures from leading sport executives and a variety of sport and performance-related industries. Housing is in university accommodation and hotels/hostels. This course is for students interested in exercise science, sport management, international business, popular culture, sport tourism, and global sport sales and sponsorship Attendance at all lectures and site visits is mandatory. Students will be graded on the quality of their participation in the site visits and assignments.
Highlights:
The program includes visits to multinational sporting enterprises such as Wembley Stadium, Lords Cricket Ground, the All England Tennis Club at Wimbledon, Cardiff University Sailing Club, the Cardiff International Sports Village, and St. Andrew's Golf Course. Other highlights include a tour of the London 2012 Olympics facilities and a chance to experience many of the local professional sporting events.

Cost includes academic credit, housing, some meals, health insurance, roundtrip airfare, and excursions. Additional costs include USD 150 study abroad fee, any meals not included, and personal expenses.
