Highlights:
Degree Progression for Almost All Majors We place great emphasis on ensuring progress toward graduation will not be impeded by participating in this program. The classes offered meet requirements of the Liberal Studies Program, many minors, and first year prerequisites for almost any major. We strongly encourage students to declare one of the exploratory majors, regardless of site (there are four exploratory majors: Communication; Human Services & Social Sciences; Creative Arts, Humanities & Letters; Science, Technology & Engineering; and Education & Teaching.) We also offer classes required for students who are "Business, not formally admitted" majors. This program also meets the summer residency requirements for all FSU students. Academic Benefits Other academic benefits include small classes, personal attention from your faculty members, and courses which incorporate local academic, historical, and cultural resources into the fabric of student learning. Out-of-State Tuition Waivers Upon completing twelve months of international study on one of the designated programs, participants will receive tuition waivers which will cover the out-of-state portion of tuition for the remainder of their first undergraduate degree at FSU in Tallahassee. Spread across a typical four year degree program, this could represent a savings of USD40,000 for the European options and USD55,000 for the Panamanian option! This arrangement is contingent upon the student remaining in good academic and judicial standing throughout their FSU career. Students must attend consecutive semesters without interruption, progressing toward their degree completion, and staying "on map".
