Description:
Academic Year Abroad: An international program for the global-thinking, adventurous student. This program has been specifically designed for incoming Freshman to Florida State University who want to start their academic career in global way. Florida State University's new Academic Year Abroad (AYA) Program allows students to complete the first twelve months of their FSU careers studying abroad with our International Programs. The incentives for taking advantage of this opportunity are extraordinary and compelling. London, England Since 1971, FSU has been creating and supporting study abroad experiences for students who wish to immerse themselves in one of the world's capital cities. Situated just yards away from the renowned British Museum, the London Study Centre strikes a balance between its historic Georgian architecture of the 15th Century and state-of-the-art learning resources. Students have easy access to world class design, media, financial institutions and entertainment. Note: This program is only open to incoming Freshman.
Highlights:
Out-of-State Tuition Waivers Upon completing twelve months of international study on one of the designated programs, participants will receive tuition waivers which will cover the out-of-state portion of tuition for the remainder of their first undergraduate degree at FSU in Tallahassee. Spread across a typical four year degree program, this could represent a savings of USD40,000 for the European options and USD55,000 for the Panamanian option! This arrangement is contingent upon the student remaining in good academic and judicial standing throughout their FSU career. Students must attend consecutive semesters without interruption, progressing toward their degree completion, and staying "on map".
