Description: The People's Republic of China is the third-largest country in the world, but it contains about 22% of the world's total population within its borders. Tianjin is China's third largest city, an independent municipality with a population of 9.5 million, that is a major commercial and industrial center as well as the biggest port in north China.

An adventure to China, offers the opportunity to study Chinese culture, calligraphy, Tai Chi, and cuisine. To enhance the understanding of China's glorious past and dynamic present, visit major sites of cultural heritages such as The Great Wall, the Ming Imperial Tombs, and the Forbidden City.

Highlights: Located in Tianjin, the premiere cosmopolitan city in the Mandarin-speaking northern China near the capital city of Beijing, this summer program offers students a valuable chance to study the Chinese language and culture and Business. The program is hosted by Tianjin Foreign Studies University, where students take intensive language courses taught by Chinese teachers specialized in the instruction of Chinese as a foreign language. In addition, students will study Chinese culture, calligraphy, Tai Chi, and cuisine. Business courses will also be offered. To enhance students' understanding of China's glorious past and dynamic present, the program features a number of field trips to major sites of cultural heritage (The Great Wall, the Ming Imperial Tombs, the Forbidden City in Beijing, and Terra Cotta Warriors Museum in Xian). The credit hours earned from the program may count towards Chinese Minor and Asian Studies Major at Florida State University (FSU).
