Description:
The European Studies Program at Salzburg College offers you the opportunity to live in one of the most beautiful cities of Europe. The courses are taught in English by a European faculty who will give you personal attention. You will learn or perfect a foreign language where it is actually spoken. Students live with Austrian families. This provides the unique experience of practicing your language skills in a natural setting. The Salzburg College Study Center is located in the heart of the Old City. It occupies a 16th century townhouse on Ursulinenplatz, a small square, flanked by a historic city gate and one of Salzburg's famous Baroque churches. From the the top floor library there is a spectacular view of the city. Across the street are the pleasant embankments of the Salzach river. The five-story building includes classrooms, offices, library, student lounge, dining room, music practice space, photo labs, and an art studio that also serves as gallery. Organized travel through Germany and a Vienna Field trip are included in the program. Travel during the independent study and travel period is easy from centrally located Salzburg.
