Description:
Semester and year-long, experiential programs in Spanish immersion, cultural and independent studies. The program includes homestays, internships, seminars, extensive field trips to other areas in Central America, and guest speakers. Courses include: Intro to Global Issues, Global Education & Cross-Cultural Research Issues, Living Latin American Culture, Writing, Research & Documentation, Spanish (beginner/intermediate/advanced), Holistic Health/Traditional Healing, Global Environmental Studies, Peace & Reconciliation, Field Work Methods & Project, and Independent Study.
Highlights:
As a whole, Costa Rica is a small, varied and accessible country which offers opportunities for a large variety of experiences for the students. It is an ideal location as a departure point for the rest of the region since it comprises so many of the characteristics common to other countries.
