Business Study in Queretaro, Mexico

Dates: 5 wks - late May to early July

Description: This program is in the city of Queretaro, located about 100 miles northwest of Mexico City. Included in this program are three field trips: the ancient pyramids of Teotihuacan, the beautiful colonial city of Quanajuato, and the artistic and tourist centers in San Miguel de Allende. Another optional field trip will be offered at the end of the trip at an additional cost. In addition to its beautiful geographical location, this program offers a unique opportunity for students to learn about the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). The Monterrey Institute of Technology (ITESM), Mexico's leading technological and business university system, offers courses that examine NAFTA and its impact on the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Trade with Mexico is booming, creating a fast-growing need for young managers with contacts and experience in Mexico. By participating in this program, you can be one of those experienced individuals.

Business Study in Queretaro, Mexico

Highlights: In addition to the overnight trip to Mexico City, the one-day trip to Guanajuato and Dolores, Hidalgo, and the weekly local trips, there are also many activities available to the students studying at ITESM. Students can participate in intramural sports and workshops at no additional cost. Some of the sports available are: swimming, basketball, soccer, volleyball, track and field, Tae Kwon Do, and aerobics. There is also a state-of-the-art weight and exercise room. Workshops include: Mexican Folk Dance, Latin Dance, music, and photography.
