Description:
This Study Abroad program is for any student who wishes to learn more about the Spanish culture by studying for seven weeks in Mexico. Students will attend classes in Spanish language, Spanish American culture, and literature taught by professors of the Centro de Ensenanza Para Extranjeros (CEPE) at the historic Hacienda del Chorrillo branch of the Universidad Nacional Antonoma of Mexico (UNAM).
Highlights:
Taxco is located just two hours from Mexico City on the highway leading to Acapulco. This historic town had silver mines before the Spaniards arrived and is now world renowned for its silver handicrafts and jewelry, picturesque mountainside locale, and the famous Baroque Church of Santa Prisca. Guided tours of historic, cultural sites in Mexico City and Taxco as well as excursions to the pyramids and archaeological zones of Teotihuacan, Xoahimilco are planned.
