Description:
Study at the University of the West of England in Bristol. The University is located less than 100 miles due west of London on the Bristol Channel. Students may earn up to 6 hours of undergraduate credit (INB 245: Business Studies Abroad, IDS 189: British History, Culture & Civilization). Includes visits to local businesses and other excursions.
Highlights:
Students attend the University of the West of England for lectures by British Professors who are experts in their subject area. The group will visit London and local business such as Rolls Royce Engines, Axa Sun Life, and @Bristol. The cultural aspects of this part of the program include a homestay while in Bristol, and visits to the historic Roman Baths and Berkley Castle. Students will spend the last week in Brussels, Belgium, the capital of the European Community, attending presentations at some of the institutions which are based there.(The European Council of Ministers, The European Union and NATO Headquarters) The excursion in Belgium includes a one-night visit to the incredibly beautiful city of Brugge. Accommodation in Belgium will be provided in a youth hostel.
