Since 1950, IES has been building quality study abroad programs and introducing U.S. students to new places, studies, and ways of thinking. A non-profit educational organization, IES offers high academic standards and extensive financial aid in almost 30 programs throughout the world. IES Delhi offers a rigorous academic program for semester and academic year students that focuses on contemporary India. The program offers a broad range of courses in the humanities and social sciences. Students can also pursue their academic interests in Delhi universtities and colleges. As the second most populous country in the world, India offers students the chance to study rapid development and change in an environment of extraordinary diversity. A core course on the Cities of Delhi introduces students to the many layers in the environment where they will be living and studying and provides an opportunity for individualized field research in an area of the student's interest. Field study is also a central feature of all IES Delhi course offerings.
