The University of Bonn, also known as Uni-Bonn, has a long history of excellence. It was established in 1818 and has remained one of the top universities in Germany throughout its existence. It also has the highest international student percentage of any university in Germany: there are 5,200 international students currently enrolled at the university, which makes up about 13% of the student population. The university has also gained some recognition over the years from its famous alumni, such as Karl Marx and Friedrich Nietzsche. Uni-Bonn is also one of the biggest universities in Germany, with 350 buildings spanning all over the city. This union between university and city ensures that by studying at Uni-Bonn, you will also be studying the historic city of Bonn.
Highlights:
Included in this Study Abroad Program is a one week-long field trip to either Berlin or another major German city. This will include visits to companies, concerts, and other various activities. This excursion is an important part of the education you will receive at Uni-Bonn. After studying the German language and culture for a semester, going out and using those studies is the perfect way to internalize all the knowledge that you have acquired.
