Semester Study at Salzburg College
Austria
Term: Academic Year, Fall, Spring
Description:
Salzburg College is a small private Austrian institution where American college students are able to receive ISU credit for their academic work in Salzburg. With the exception of the German language courses, the language of instruction is English. In the past 30+ years some 5,000 students have attended Salzburg College programs, representing more than 250 American colleges and universities.
Highlights:
* Germany The program begins with a one-week trip through Germany that gives a hands-on introduction to European culture, while also providing a great opportunity to meet the other students. Historic sites, beautiful scenery, museum visits and lectures on contemporary topics combine to give you a sense of historical continuity that is essential to understanding the European mind. * Vienna Vienna is a beautiful and exciting place. Many Salzburg College students feel that during the Vienna field trip "everything comes together". Much of what has been studied in Austrian Civilization and other courses can be experienced live in the country's traditional capital. In addition, special events are planned in connection with various other courses such as art history, music, political science, public relations.
