Description:
Griffith University is one of the most favored universities among Study Abroad students. Griffith has an excellent academic program that specializes in Business and Biology and excellent facilities available to students to make things more convenient. One of Australia's leading universities, Griffith offers over 200 undergraduate degrees, and has been known as a pioneer of Australia's higher education community, offering the first degrees in International Business, Environmental Science, Modern Asian Studies, and Internet Marketing. Griffith also has around 4,400 international students, which makes for a very diverse and accepting campus.
Highlights:
There are three options for international students who wish to study at Griffith University. The most common is the on-campus accommodation. This will be at one of the dormitories on campus and will include a full meal plan. Most of these rooms are singles with internet connection and telephone. Students share a communal bathroom and there are also computer rooms available. Students can also choose to stay with a host family. With this option, you will live off-campus with an Australian family who will provide you with a room and 3 meals per day. Students are required to pay for their own laundry, transportation, telephone, and other miscellaneous costs. The last option is an off-campus flat. This is housing that is completely independent of Griffith University and will be arranged by the student. This option should only be used for students who feel confident in their ability to adjust to the culture and prefer a more independent lifestyle. The international office at Griffith can help students find off-campus accommodation.
