Semester Study at Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Australia
Australia
Term: Academic Year, Fall, Spring
Dates: July to Nov. & Feb. to June
Description:
Curtin University offers a wide range of courses, most of which articulate directly to ISU courses. Students majoring in Psychology, Industrial Technology, and Health Sciences will find an abundance of courses in their majors, and as with all Study Abroad programs, students can attempt to get credit for courses not already listed on the following page (see Getting Credit for Study Abroad). Like Edith Cowan University, the Study Abroad program at Curtin University of Technology has the option of going as either an exchange student or a tuition-paying student. For more details on this, please read the "Academics" section of the Edith Cowan description on the previous pages.
Highlights:
Housing at Curtin takes two forms: On-campus and off-campus accommodation. The on-campus housing is located in six different residences and students live in apartment-style dormitories which are called "cottages". These have separate bedrooms, shared kitchen, and shared living areas. There are 6 students per house. Coin laundry facilities are provided as well as basic furniture. Students are responsible for bringing their own linens, pillows, and other materials. It is also possible to arrange housing in off-campus accommodation. The International Office at Curtin can help you to find and lease a flat near the university, however students are responsible for their transportation to classes.
