API features an exciting and comprehensive study abroad option in London at the University of the Arts, London. Classes are comprised of students from across the U.K. and the world. Semester, trimester, and academic year programs are available. Students typically receive 15 quarter credits or or 10 semester credits per term. The University of the Arts, London (UAL) is comprised of multiple colleges, including The Camberwell College of Arts, Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, Chelsea College of Art & Design, and the London College of Communication. At Chelsea College of Arts and Design you will take part in lectures by artists and designers working, visiting or exhibiting in London. You will be encouraged to be open and exploratory in your work, using the full range of media resources available to you. Central Saint Martins specialties include fine art, fashion/ textiles, graphics and communication design, 3-D design, theater and performance. Summer programs are also available at Central Saint Martins. Camberwell College of Arts is renowned for its courses in ceramics, graphics, illustration, drawing, painting, 3-D design and conservation graphics, and students are encouraged to explore their ideas through hands-on experience. At London College of Communication many of the faculty are successful journalists, graphic designers, photographers, filmmakers, publishing and retail experts teaching in the College's new state-of-the-art facility. You will automatically be a member of the University of the Arts Union (UASU) which runs sports clubs and social events for students.
