Highlights:
The program is set at Dublin City University (DCU) one of Irelands youngest and most progressive universities. Voted the Top Irish University in 2004 by the Sunday Irish Times, DCU is home to more than 10,000 students from all over the world. When it comes to teaching and learning you will find that DCUs academic system is loosely based upon the American system (unlike most other Irish universities) where you will have continual assessment rather than only having one or two projects/presentations decide your entire grade. That being said, there is much more responsibility placed upon the student for learning the material than in the U.S. Complementing DCUs strong academics are facilities that rival even the best U.S. universities. There are television and sound studios, computer labs and networking facilities, state-of-the-art science labs, and graphic design facilities. You will be directly enrolled in classes at the University meaning that you will have full integration into Irish academic life.
