CIS - Study at the University of Nottingham
England
- East Midlands:
Nottingham
Term: Academic Year, Fall, Spring
Dates: Spring: late September - mid-December; Fall: late January - mid-June
Description:
The University of Nottingham is one of the United Kingdom's top universities as measured from an academic and popular perspective. Academically speaking, Nottingham is a member of the "Russell Group," the UK's top 20 research universities and also a member of Universitas 21, a group of extremely competitive research universities located throughout the world. Nottingham is a multi-campus university, the two largest being University Park, where a majority of the courses are offered, and the Jubilee Campus, only one mile away from the park. It's really no wonder that Nottingham is regarded as one of Britain's most vibrant and cosmopolitan cities. With a population of around 300,000, Nottingham is perfectly located at the heart of England. The compact city, only a short bus or bike ride from the University, combines heritage (e.g., Robin Hood) and history with contemporary culture from the world's oldest pub to voguish style bars, from traditional markets to unique designer boutiques.
Highlights:
The learning resources at Nottingham are extensive. The library services include over a million books and journals. There are computer resource areas on each of the campuses. Most are available 24 hours a day, and you will have access to the University network from your apartment (provided you have a computer). Laboratories are fully equipped with the latest and most modern equipment.
