The Institute for Tourism Studies is the leading educational institution for tourism on the island. The Institute's International connections are broad and diverse, ranging from countries in Europe and South American to Australia and the U.S.A. These connections ensure NAU students a truly international experience while attending school at the institute. In addition students have the extraordinary opportunity to experience the dynamic culture of Macau and China. The Institute For Tourism Studies (IFT), the first WTO-Themis TedQual certified institution in tourism education, is the only public institution in Macao entirely devoted to education and training for the tourism and hospitality industries. Students will choose from a variety of courses within the field of hospitality. The mission of IFT is to be a worldwide recognized destination for tourism and hospitality studies with European flavour - a higher educational institute which not only benefits Macao, but the region, by developing students professional and technical competence in preparation for leadership responsibilities in tourism and hospitality-related enterprises. Highlights:
The Office for International Affairs (OIA) helps overseas students who would like to join a semester of exchange program at IFT or IFT students who are interested in joining exchange programs offered by our partner institutions. OIA can assist students in going through all the formalities of the exchange program. The Institute for Tourism Studies supports a representative assigned to address the needs of visiting exchange students while studying at the Institute for Tourism Studies, Macau. Students will be able to seek assistance with both personal and logistical issues.
