CET Academic Programs, Vanderbilt University, and the University of Florence for Foreigners jointly administer Vanderbilt's History of Art and Italian Studies Program in Florence. The program is open to all students during the summer term, and to Vanderbilt students only during the spring and fall terms. This program offers an opportunity for students to immerse themselves in Italian culture, Italian language, and deepen their understanding of Italian society through the study of art history, economics, political science, literature, and more. A variety of challenging courses takes students out of the classrooms and into the streets and museums of Florence and surrounding cities. You may also wish to consider CET's History of Art and Italian Studies Program in Siena, Italy, offered in the fall, spring, and summer terms.

CET Academic Programs's Mission Statement: CET Academic Programs is a private study abroad organization based in Washington, DC that has been designing and administering educational programs abroad since 1982. We offer study abroad programs in China, Vietnam, the Czech Republic, Italy and Spain. CET's programs specialize in integrating students into the society in which they are living. Each program is a model in student-centered learning, in which students are constantly challenged to contextualize their studies within the society that surrounds them. Staffed by over 20 full-time employees in the US and abroad, CET currently sends more than 700 American students abroad annually.
